The new season is upon us which means all the new coveted make up collections are just about to land.
One of our favourite beauty trends is ‘Decadent Lips’. Autumn lip shades come in rich berry shades to plush purples, hot reds and dark chocolates. But, a lipstick in these colours can be hard to pull off if you lips are cracked or chapped. Here’s our top tips to getting smooth lips throughout the winter months.
Look out for lip balms with hydrating ingredients such as Shea Butter, Vitamin E and coconut oils that will help to nourish the lips during the colder climes.
Gently exfoliate the lips to slough off dead cells. You can buy lip scrubs but it’s easy to make your own. We recommend making one just using honey, coconut oil, sugar and mixing with water. Apply to the lips and gently exfoliate using a flannel in a circular motion.
To give lips a fuller, plumper look apply your lipstick by dabbing on with fingers and then using a touch of gloss at the centre of the lips.
Make sure upper lip hair doesn’t get in the way of your perfect pout, head down to 171 Hair and Beauty salon and let one of our beauty experts use waxing or threading to take away upper lip hair in just a matter of minutes.
