We all want strong, sturdy and beautiful nails but work and every day chores means that nails are exposed to damage.
We’ve put together a few simple steps to help improve the health of brittle nails.
Make sure you look after your nails when you’re cleaning or washing up. Always wear gloves as chemicals, detergent and too much water can weaken nails.
Drinks lots of water. It might seem simple but water helps to keep skin, hair and nails wonderfully hydrated. Add lots of protein to your diet too as this helps to improve mail strength.
We all want long nails but if your nails are brittle it’s best to keep them on the shorter side until they start to get stronger.
Stick to a daily handcare regime. Soak and massage hands in olive, coconut or castor oil to nourish the nails. Massage into the cuticles too and then use a rich, hydrating hand cream for an added moisture boost.
After washing and drying hands use a hand cream to hydrate and protect. Keep one in your handbag or on your desk.
